Good morning lovelies, it’s been a long time since I last posted, actually it’s been a long time since I last had enough time to sleep let alone write. Well anyways, I’m waiting for a friend and this is the first time since coming to university that I’ve had time to write.
So going back to the first week of September, frosh/101 week. Let me tell you, frosh was crazy! See where I go to school you only have to be 18 to drink (well technically you have to drive like 5mins) but anyways lots of our events were liscensed (meaning we can legally buy alcohol). So as you can imagine, not only were people pre drinking, they could continue to drink all night 😂.
When we went to the club, that was the first time I ever did a shot, actually I did 3! They say uni changes you, well they weren’t kidding, though I have yet to be drunk. We also went BarBowling which was kinda cool. One of my fav events was the Science Formal. Even though it was a dry event I felt like I belonged in GossipGirl. We dressed up and it was held at the Museum of Nature. We got to walk through the palentology exhibit and took photos. The last event was the craziest and most hyped event, Camp Fortune. Basically everyone from every faculty comes together at a ski lodge and just gets hammered and dances all night. I thought it was okay, it was super packed and since a group of students broke the deck, it was hard to get air. Anyways that was week one.
There hasn’t been many interesting things that have happened since. We went on a few late night adventures, and went to the light show at parliament.
Since I didn’t go home for thanksgiving (because it’s really far and I had a lot of work to do). 2 of my friends that stayed and I went to Boston Pizza cause that’s our fav restaurant. So my thanksgiving dinner was Cactus cuts and Pierogi pizza, if you know me at all that’s one of my fav “meals” ever so it was all good.
Now the not so fun things, like actual school😂. So I don’t hate my classes, actually I find most of them very interesting but there’s a lot of work. Honestly physics is drowning me. I always have assignments to do or exams to study for. Currently I’m in biology with french immersion, but I’m highly considering switching to full french (for those of you who are not aware, french is my second language but I’ve been in french immersion since I was 4). I can honestly say that being immergés in the french language, my french has improved significantly. I’m still no expert but I’m getting better!
Lastly I’ve made so many friends and I can’t imagine my life any differently now! I would not have been able to survive school up to this point without any one of them.
Anyways that’s about all I had to say, I hope you have a great day, thanks for reading☺️
