Hello everyone, today I’m sharing my august 2020 set up, I can’t believe the summer is almost over already. This plan with me is special because it’s the first time I’m including a Plan With Me video of the process. Spreads this month include small month-at-a-glance, books to read, goals, self care, gratitude, budget tracker, blog tracker and of course a weekly layout (which spoiler alert is quite different from all my other months!). You’ll notice throughout some of these spreads I added a little swirl doodle, I felt it fit the spaces nicely without being complex.
This is also the first time I’ve gone for a small calendar and had a list of important dates. I thought it was time for a switch, we’ll see if this becomes more regular or if I go back to my normal full page calendar.
Goals + Books + Self care
I was inspired by Caitlin Da Silva (as usual because her spreads are amazing!) to add books I want to read, even though I do have a Goodreads account that I update quite frequently (Be friends with me on Goodreads!) I thought the little visual was a cute touch. I also added some self care ideas because school is about to start again (well in a month) and I want to get better at making time to do something fo myself even when I get really busy. Lastly I have my monthly goals, nothing fancy here.
This months weekly spread is VERY different for me. For the past year I have done the same weekly layout (even July was relatively similar) because it worked for me and was super quick and easy to do (check out my June Bullet Journal Spreads for that). So this month I challenged myself to do something completley different and outside my comfort zone and here is what I came up with. There is a habit tracker within the spread (I find I stick to using them more if they are in the same spread as my week), a spot for your top 3 weekly tasks as well as your top 3 daily tasks on each day (This can also be substitued with a meal planner by replacing the numbers with B, L, D). I added a cute little quote and also a spot for my blog planning.
Contrary to my very different weekly layout, I chose to do the same budget tracker as last month. I found it to work really well for me, and if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
Similar to last month, I chose to do 4 boxes that each represent a week in august where I write something positive in my life, a good memory or something I’m grateful for.
Blog/Content Planner (or assignments)
August is a very busy month for content between this site and Rotaract, so I needed a spread that is organized and to the point. This chart has room for the title, date of publication, steps of the process for a new post (ie. Draft, Take photos, Edit etc) and any related social media posts that needs to be made and posted. This can be also be used as an assignemnt planner or work project planner!
What I used in this spread:
Thank you so much for reading, I hope you are inspired for your Bullet Journal. Don’t forget to subscribe or check back Friday to
