Good afternoon everyone, and welcome to my June PWM. If you have been around for a while, last June I posted my first bullet journal post and in august my first video. I can’t believe I am already posting my June 2021 post. So my birthday is in June and I love yellow so I figured why not do a yellow theme? The dandelions were a little tricky at first but the techniques were pretty simple. Once I got into it, they were easy 🙂 The tombow colours used this month are 055 & 062.
I also tried out the captions feature in YouTube, please let me know if you like this!
This month I took it back to my og spreads, and did a basic 2 page full calendar layout. I played around with the fonts and only did initials for the days. Also for the title I wrote out the full words for “June twenty-twenty-one”. I used a paint brush to get a truer water colour vibe instead of using the marker directly on the page. I have a laminated sheet of paper and I draw on it with the tombow and the pick up the colour with my brush. There still felt like a lot of blank space so I filled some of that with seeds floating from the dandelion. For a mini tutorial for the dandelion click here.
I am always trying to find ways to switch up my spreads, so this month I went with vertical boxes that are spaced out. I added an extra box below each day. I plan on using this as a health and fitness tracker but this space can be used for so much more. Some ideas could be meal planning, sleep or study tracking, habit trackers, photo-a-day or anything else you want to put in your journal.
Summer Goals & Sunset
On the left is a summer bucket list/goal page. I kept it simple so I can add things as I go along, but I wanted a little bit of colour so I added some of the yellow with a brush. Let me know what you are looking forward to most this summer!
The right page is a “Sunset appreciation page” if you will. My fav thing to photograph is sunsets, so my mom came up with the idea to add some of my fav sunset pics I take throughout the month. I did a quote instead of a title, “The sun will rise and set regardless. What you choose to do while the light is here is up to us. Journey wisely. I’m not sure who said this but I felt like a fitting quote. I did a very light wash of colour under the words.
Plant Water Tracker
Let’s face it, I have too many plants (well can you really have too many?) and sometimes I can’t keep track of when I watered them last since each plant requires its own watering schedule. For each plant or group of plants (ie herbs) I added a mini calendar. So when I water it, I will mark it down and then I will be able to see when I last watered it and how frequently it needs watering.
Thank you so much for reading, I have so much content planned for the near future and some surprises coming too! Don’t forget to subscribe to be notified when I post so you don’t miss out.
